MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) seeks a patient registration specialist in the United States. You will perform accurate clinic registration, collect co-pays, verify insurance, and support front-end operations to maximize patient flow and customer service.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of customer service experience; hospital information systems experience is preferred. 40 hours per week, hourly pay. Equal Opportunity Employer; E-Verify participation.
Performs accurate clinic registration of patients, not to exclude scheduling, authorization and insurance verification functions using proper resources provided by MUSC. Collects co-pay/co-insurance at time of service according to the MUSC policies. Corrects registration errors to prevent front-end denials. Provides excellent patient focused customer service, and communicates effectively to service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service. Answer phones calls according proper protocol provided by MUSC.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED), with 1 year of customer service experience. Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations preferred.
