Job summary

Kittitas Valley Healthcare is seeking a Patient Access Representative to register admissions and outpatient services with accuracy and compliance. You will collect patient information, verify insurance and help collect deductibles and co-pays, working closely with hospital and revenue cycle teams.

You will also handle front-d desk duties, answer a multi-line phone, and guide patients and visitors to the right departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current computer experience in Microsoft products.
• Previous cash-handling experience.
• Experience in healthcare registration (preferred).
• Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes (preferred).
• Familiarity with medical terminology (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Register hospital admissions and outpatient services accurately and compliantly.
• Verify patient information and assist in insurance verification.
• Participate in collection of deductibles and co-pays.
• Coordinate with hospital, clinic and revenue cycle staff.
• Answer multi-line phone and greet/direct patients and visitors to departments.

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for the registration of hospital admissions and outpatient services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Federal and State regulations. Duties include collection of required patient information, insurance verification and participation in collection of deductibles and co-pays. Works closely with hospital, clinic and revenue cycle personnel. Performs general reception duties including, answering multi-line telephone and greeting and directing patients and visitors to hospital departments.

Additional Information

Wage: Wage range currently starts at $19.62/hour and goes up to $29.74/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.

FTE: .1.0 (40 hours/week); Primary schedule is Monday through Friday; 7:00a-3:30p
