Patient Access Representative - Emergency Department - PRN

Part‑time. Shift: Variable Shift. Status: PRN.

About the Role

Patient Access Representative will greet and direct patients and families to testing and surgical areas, assist patients, family and visitors with transportation, obtain and verify patient information, manage registration system entries, maintain confidentiality, keep the workspace orderly, and access department communications daily using telephone voice mail and e‑mail. The representative works positively with all levels of staff and may act as a preceptor for new hires. Other duties as assigned by PAS leadership are performed as required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2 years of formal education or equivalent experience.
• Two (2) years of work experience in customer service, healthcare, or business‑related field.

PRN – as needed for coverage for call‑ins, PTO coverage, etc. No set number of hours per week.
