Job summary

The Catholic Health St. Charles Campus in Port Jefferson is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join the front desk team. This role handles patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification, and copay collection in a fast-paced hospital front office.

Strong communication and outstanding customer service are essential, as is the ability to multitask and stay organized while supporting operational workflows. Outpatient experience is preferred.

Job Details

The Patient Access Representative is responsible:

• Patient intake,


• Scheduling and registering patients


• Verifying insurance,


• Tracking insurance authorizations,


• Collecting copays,


• Answering phones and providing general administrative support functions.

Salary Range

USD $22.71 - USD $37.85 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
