Job summary

Catholic Health’s St. Charles Campus in Port Jefferson, NY seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide essential patient care under RN supervision. You will support safety, hygiene, comfort, and data reporting for diverse patients in a leading community hospital.

Qualifications

Job Details

Our Nursing Assistants Will

• Function under the supervision of the licensed Registered Nurse and serves basic nursing care to ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of our patients.
• Be able to recognize, obtain, document, and report data to appropriate staff.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), and ancillary staff to meet the needs of patients and optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.

What You’ll Bring

• Passion for Patient Care.
• Prior or recent Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification: Nursing Assistant Certification & Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are required.
• In lieu of Nursing Assistant certification, will accept prior/recent nursing assistant experience OR completion of one year of a formal RN program.

Salary Range

USD $25.99 - USD $33.79 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
