Job summary

St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY, part of Catholic Health, is recruiting an Advanced Practice Provider for Critical Care to assist physicians in acute care, coordinate admissions and care transitions, and consult with a multidisciplinary team for discharge planning.

The role requires critical care experience, versatile shifts including weekends and nights (7A-7P/7P-7A), and active PA/NP licensure with BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Critical Care experience required.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekend rotations and nights. 7A-7P/7P-7A
• Bachelor of Science, Masters preferred in an AMA approved PA or NP program
• NYS Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License or Limited Permit
• PA or NP Board Certification
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Position requires to work a minimum of 2 shifts per month

• Appropriate ordering of tests and medications
• Coordinating admissions and/or transfers to other facilities

• Assist collaborating physicians in providing assessments, diagnosis, care and treatment of patients in an acute care setting.

Salary Range

Starting from USD $69.54/Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
