Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking a Patient Access Representative to provide high-quality service to individuals served and customers in a courteous and professional manner. This role involves clerical/administrative duties, data entry, scheduling, and coordination of day-to-day services in a team-based environment.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, hourly, with a 37.5-hour work week, primarily daytime hours, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; business curriculum preferred and at least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Act 33/34, criminal, FBI clearances
• Pre-Employment Drug Screen

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and administrative support for program and registration operations including communications, data entry, filing, bookkeeping, scheduling, payee reimbursement, insurance registration and day-to-day services.
• Follow all established documentation, policies and procedures and prioritize daily tasks based on deadlines and urgency.
• Work well within a team-based approach and maintain confidentiality.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This Patient Access Representative position is designed to provide high quality service to all individuals served and customers in a courteous and professional manner. We are looking for a professional that has the experience with clerical/administration functions, confidentiality, multi-tasking and works well within a team-based approach. This position is expected to perform clerical and administrative duties in order to maintain program and registration operations including: communications, data entry, filing, bookkeeping, scheduling, payee reimbursement, Insurance registration and the basic coordination of day-to-day services. Follow all established documentation, policies and procedures. Prioritize daily tasks based on deadlines, urgency of needs and departmental policy. Other duties as assigned.
