Job summary

Adventist Health Glendale is seeking a Part-time Patient Access Representative for 8-hour day shifts, onsite at our Glendale, CA location.

The role requires timely patient registration, interviewing patients for account details, verifying insurance, calculating patient liability amounts, and obtaining necessary signatures for treatment. You will also prepare paperwork for distribution to units/departments and escort patients as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check for physician orders and attach them to the patient medical record to ensure correct tests.
• Verify insurance and enter authorization information accurately as needed.
• Explain policies clearly and answer questions from patients.
• Escort patients to the appropriate area or refer to available escort.

Job Summary:

Adventist Health Glendale is seeking a Patient Access Representative for a Part-time position with 8-hour day shifts. We are looking for a qualified and dedicated individual who is able to work onsite at our Glendale, CA location.

Responsible for timely and accurate patient registration. Interviews patients for all pertinent account information. Verify all insurance and calculates and collects patient liability amounts. Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment. Answer any questions and explain policies clearly. Check for physician orders and attaches them to appropriate patient record to ensure correct test is received. Print and collate any paperwork needed for each patient to for distribution to unit/department. Escorts patients to his/her area or refers patient to available escort as needed.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Essential Functions:

• Check for physician orders and attaches them to patient medical record to ensure that patients are receiving appropriate tests.
• Choose correct health plan and accurately and research to ensure accuracy when verifying insurance. Enter all authorization information accurately as needed.
• Follows guidelines and instructions from senior staff.
