Job summary

Job Shift: Days

• This position has the responsibility of receiving all patients in a courteous and accommodating manner.
• Responsible for answering inquiries regarding patient account payments and adjustments.
• Collect fee-for-service and co-payments and process charge tickets.
• Enter patient charges and post patient or insurance payments.
• Prepare and complete deposits and manage petty cash.
• Obtain and/or distribute patient information as needed to include signatures, surveys, and completion of forms.
• Prepare and work patient and insurance credits/refunds.
• Assist patient will setting up payment terms.
• Document bankruptcy when received.
• Prepare account detail and billing forms when requested.
• Runs daily reports as requested.
• Serves as back-up for registration.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration: N/A

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree in Business a plus.

Experience: Previous experience in medical office setting and/or cashier experience preferred. Proficient computer skills.
