Job description

Patient Access Rep - HH Main/ER and W/C - FT/PT/PRN positions available / Varied shifts

Greets the public, patients, and families. Obtains and enters demographic and financial information for all patient types. Handles customer service issues in a friendly manner. Listens and responds appropriately to resolve issues. Checks paperwork for registration accuracy. Enhances knowledge to train new hires and existing staff. Shows initiative in administrative process improvement. Collects required fees from patients or authorized representatives. Responsible for daily operations. Must be flexible to work scheduled or needed shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.

Qualifications
  • High School/GED required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Two to three years of customer service/public relations/leadership experience preferred.
  • Two to three years of computer experience preferred; medical record or billing experience strongly preferred. Will consider one year of experience in other fields.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to type 35 wpm with 90% accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude. Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to multitask. Data analysis skills preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred.
