Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a part-time patient access representative to perform pre-registrations, registrations, and admissions across CT locations. You will verify insurance, collect demographics, and work with multiple department systems.

The role includes orientation Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with rotating shifts and potential per diem coverage in the Emergency Department; pay ranges from $17.50 to $25.00 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Minimum High school or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and interview skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer systems and computer devices.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions.
• Verifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits.
• Ensures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are completed.
• Collects non-covered fees.
