Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a part-time patient registration specialist for the ED, handling pre-registration and admissions with attention to accuracy and privacy. You will verify insurance, collect fees, and ensure demographic data is complete, using hospital systems and online portals.

Training lasts two weeks, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., virtually on-site at Johnson Memorial Hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in a hospital or physician's office is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are essential.
• Comfort using computer systems and basic software.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance basics.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions.
• Verifies insurance requirements and understands benefits.
• Ensures accurate entries for demographic, financial and directives.
• Collects non-covered fees as applicable.
