Job summary

Trinity Health in Connecticut seeks an ED Pre-Registration Clerk to complete patient registrations and pre-registrations, gathering demographic, insurance and patient liability information while coordinating with multiple hospital departments and web-based systems.

This full-time Evening shift (32 hours) includes every-other-weekend work, with shift and weekend differentials and a comprehensive benefits package starting Day 1, including health insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school or equivalent
• One year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication and interview skills
• Proficiency in using computer systems and devices
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances

Responsibilities

• Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions
• Verifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits
• Ensures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are complete
• Collects non-covered fees
