Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Registration Specialist to support East Montgomery Imaging Center with front-line patient access and financial services. You will pre-register patients, verify insurance, and collect at the point of service while ensuring data is accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, good communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting. Prior medical office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in healthcare or business-related field preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a medical/hospital patient access or financial services environment preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs.

Responsabilités

• Pre-registration and registration of patients; payer identification and verification.
• Coordinate referrals to financial counseling and point-of-service collections.
• Ensure demographics and benefit information are accurately entered into the system.
• Verify benefits eligibility and coordination of benefits; determine patient financial responsibility.
• Understand HIPAA, EMTALA, and Medicare Secondary Payer requirements; apply as needed.
