Qualifications

• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Enthusiastic, patient‑focused customer service skills.
• Exemplary written and verbal communication; comfortable with patients.
• Team player with ability to collaborate with clinical staff.
• Capacity to multi‑task with computer programs while maintaining care quality.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in follow‑up with clinical staff.
• Works well in a team to improve departmental workflow.
• Familiarity with hospital insurance processes and billing basics.

Responsibilities

• Perform insurance verification, data collection and documentation.
• Determine medical necessity for services based on criteria.
• Identify patient financial responsibilities and collect monies.
• Act as liaison to internal and external customers to facilitate access.
• Secure all documentation to register the patient visit.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
