Job summary

Atlantic Health in Rockaway, NJ is seeking a Registrar for full-time day shift (8a-4p). The role ensures accurate patient registration, collects medical records, consent and insurance forms, and scans documents into the medical record system per department protocols.

Responsibilities include interviewing patients, verifying data entry, guiding admissions, directing patients to the appropriate staff, preparing ID bracelets and handling cash receipts with audits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of experience in Patient Registration, Admissions or relevant area.
• Epic Certification.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or related field.
• Experience in a Health Care Facility, Hospital System or relevant area.

Responsibilities

• Conducts interviews and collects information about the patients such as medical history, personal information and other requests or treatment preferences.
• Ensures proper data entry into the system.
• Guides patients in the filling of entry forms and enrollment or admissions process and connects patients to the necessary resources/point of contacts.
• Directs patients towards the appropriate personnel for the next steps towards the treatment.
• Prepares identification bracelets and collects insurance related information from the patients.
• Issues receipts to patients, manages cash balances and uses audits and controls to manage cash accurately and safely.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
