Job summary

Valley Health System in Paramus is seeking staff for the Patient Access Center to perform reception, pre-registration, registration, cash collection, admitting and related tasks across inpatient, outpatient and ED settings.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, with CHAA certification preferred and prior healthcare/customer service experience. Strong computer and English skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred; Registration training program completed; CHAA certification preferred.
• Healthcare-related experience and computer skills in Windows environment; medical terminology preferred.
• Medical office experience and prior customer service experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide reception, pre-registration, registration, cash collection, and admitting support.
• Assist patient education, department support, and unit-specific tasks; manage materials/inventory.
