Job summary

Dignity Health - Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to ensure a positive patient experience during check-in, delivering courteous service and clear explanations of hospital policies.

You will identify patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, determine financial liability, and document information in the ADT system, while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in hospital patient registration or revenue cycle roles preferred.
• Understanding of insurance policies and patient financial responsibilities.
• Strong math and data entry accuracy.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients and collect accurate demographics.
• Verify insurance and determine/collect financial liability.
• Explain hospital policies and patient rights to families.
• Enter data into the ADT system accurately and timely.
• Meet CMS billing requirements and document completion for audits.
