Responsibilities

• Pre-registration and registration of patients; payer identification and verification.
• Refer patients to financial counseling and handle point-of-service collections.
• Ensure accurate data entry of patient demographics and benefits in system(s).
• Verify benefits eligibility, coordination of benefits, and patient financial responsibility at point of service.
• Understand regulatory requirements (Medicare Secondary Payer, HIPAA, EMTALA) and apply as required.
