Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a patient access professional focused on registration and financial coordination in the Swedish Medical Center and Emergency Department environment. You will interview patients, collect required data, and serve as the primary contact for billing and insurance questions while guiding patients through financial assistance options.

Responsibilities include frontline customer service, registering patients, escorting, and ensuring accurate data flow with POS team

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• 2 years of experience in a medical setting with inpatient or outpatient admitting.
• Experience in patient registration, financial counseling or insurance terminology recommended.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and provide front line customer service at registration.
• Interview patients and families to obtain demographic and financial data, complete consents, escort/guide patients, and collect valuables and deposits.
• Answer initial billing, insurance, or collection questions; assist with financial aid paperwork and alternate coverage sources.
• Serve as the POS team expert to facilitate all registration functions for patients during hospitalization and coordinate with Physician Offices for coverage.
