Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage intake and patient registration, conduct interviews, schedule appointments, and verify payer information. You will post charges, calculate amounts due at POS, and balance daily collections, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires strong customer service skills, basic computer proficiency (Word/Excel), and attention to regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years college preferred.
• 1+ years customer service experience required.
• Experience in patient access, billing, cash collections, insurance, scheduling, or related areas preferred.
• Typing 30-35 WPM and basic computer skills (Word/Excel) required.
• CPAR Certification preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of Siemens INVISION/OAS Gold or EPIC systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle intake and patient registration processes.
• Conduct patient interviews and schedule appointments.
• Enter patient demographics and verify payer information.
• Post charges and calculate amounts due at POS.
• Balance and deposit daily collections.
• Adhere to regulatory guidelines and Grady policies.
