Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma and be able to pass background checks as required for regulated areas.
• Ability to use hospital registration and billing systems and basic office software.
• Strong attention to detail in handling demographic, billing, and insurance information.

Responsibilities

• Obtain demographic/billing/insurance information and enter into registration and billing systems.
• Provide patients with information about insurance, payments, and hospital procedures.
• Handle pre-certification/authorizations as needed for managed care.
• Prepare consent forms and obtain electronic signatures for consent to treat and financial obligations.
• Collect deposits, co-pays, deductibles, and patient liabilities; issue receipts and document in systems.
• Prepare patient armbands and balance daily receipts; follow up on system flags.
• Initiate screenings and gather information for coverage; complete paperwork as required.
• Perform medical necessity checks and Advanced Beneficiary Notices as needed.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel patients in line with hospital workflows.
• Check order completeness and validate orders against scheduled services.
