Shasta Regional Medical Center in Northern California is seeking a Patient Account Registrar to join our award-winning team. You will interview patients or representatives, collect demographics, verify insurance information, and input data into the admissions system.

This per diem role requires excellent communication skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital admissions experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer Services experience required.
• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent Required.

Responsabilités

• Interview the patient or representative to obtain demographics and insurance information.
• Work closely with Admitting department and PBX/operator areas.
• Input and retrieve data using computer systems.
• Communicate with diverse patient populations across age groups.
• Maintain proficiency in medical terminology.
• Complete special projects within required timeframes.
