Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of UHS, is a 182-bed treatment facility, conveniently located in beautiful Fort lauderdale, FL that specializes in the successful treatment of substance abuse and mental health issues for youth, adults and seniors. Our progressive team members in the fields of psychiatry, medicine, nursing, social services, education and activity therapy are all committed to provide compassionate, comprehensive care that uniquely fits the intensity and severity of each patient’s needs. We offer a continuum of mental health and addiction services through an integrated system of inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and ECT programs. Fort Lauderdale BH is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Patient Access Registrar - Wednesday, Thursday & Friday Nights 7:00PM - 7:30AM 3 - 12 Hour shifts weekly

Qualifications

Education/Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or higher degree preferred

Experience:

• Minimum one (1) year business office experience preferred in Health Care/Insurance Verification and Collections with computer knowledge and data entry skills.
• One (1) year of related experience, with knowledge of patient care techniques regarding co-occurring, mentally ill, or chemically dependent patients with understanding of co-occurring disorders, preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent
• Current Florida Driver’s License (may be required to drive company van on occasion)
• Current CPR Certification
• Must pass competency exams within 90 days of hire. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Well organized

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
