Responsibilities

• Performs patient registration with courteous professionalism per policy.
• Greets and registers patients.
• Collects data for pre-registration and registration.
• Interacts with patients, families, and staff in person or by phone.
• Enters data into the hospital computer system.
• Complies with HIPAA, EMTALA and payer regulations.
• May assist transporting patients by wheelchair.
• Uses ordering systems to enter codes for services.
• Coordinates admissions and bed placement with clinical staff.
• Maintains census records and logs.
• Completes MSP questionnaires and updates billing data.
• Scans and stores medical records and related documents.
