Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL, is hiring a Patient Access Representative II for the North Freestanding ED. This part-time role supports patient intake, verifies information, and navigates multiple systems to ensure smooth front-desk operations.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years in customer service and healthcare, including insurance, with a high school diploma. Hours are Thursday to Sunday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with a focus on service excellence and HIPAA-compliant privacy.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Customer Service experience required.
• 1-2 years Healthcare experience required.
• 1-2 years Insurance experience required.

Responsabilités

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently.
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces.
• Cross-trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas.
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters.
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.).
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members.
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms.
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
