Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Centralia is seeking a Full Time Patient Access Representative to schedule patients for prescribed procedures and collect demographic, insurance, and clinical information to support the scheduling process.

The role requires 1+ year of patient access experience, familiarity with EHR systems, and excellent communication skills. It offers a dynamic team environment with rotating weekends/holidays and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Patient Access experience required.
• Healthcare and customer service experience are expected.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gathers information from patient and enters into appropriate database.
• Schedules patient procedures and coordinates with clinical resources.
• Assists with insurance pre-certification/authorization.
• Provides counseling to patient regarding pre-service requirements.
• Performs clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration.
• Identifies process improvement opportunities and participates in improvement plans.
• Works on special projects as needed.
• May review the work of others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
