Job summary

Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, NC seeks a Pre-Visit Planning Coordinator II to review patient registrations, checklists, and legal authorizations before scheduled provider visits. Qualifications

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Guardianship or other Legal Decision-making authority documentation.
• Ability to work on-site Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with flexibility for special assignments.
• Spanish language ability strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review and reconcile patient registrations and required consents.
• Coordinate with guardians and legal decision-makers to obtain valid proof of authority.
• Upload validated documents into EHR and MAHEC systems.
• Schedule and re-schedule appointments; communicate any missing information.
• Coordinate interpreting services and answer phones.
• Participate in orientation and process improvements.
• Support outreach and community events as needed.
