Job summary

Baptist Health in Florida is seeking a Patient Access coordinator to manage patient flow, insurance questions, and pricing information in a fast-paced setting. The role emphasizes compassionate service, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Training and onboarding support are part of the position.

The incumbent will collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure smooth patient experiences and will participate in departmental initiatives and committees as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Complete and pass the Patient Access training course.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented, organized, team player, compassionate, with strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage basics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and timely processing within the department.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements, Baptist Health South Florida pricing, and financial assistance options.
• Support go-live activities and departmental initiatives, including onboarding and training.
• Participate in departmental committees and improvement opportunities.
• Deliver professional, compassionate and friendly service to patients and families.
