Job summary

Variety Care Inc. in Oklahoma City is seeking a Part Time Specialist, Patient Access to schedule appointments, provide patient access services, and deliver excellent customer service across clinics.

You will handle calls, assist patients with telehealth connections, and coordinate with care teams to ensure smooth access to services. The role requires a High School diploma or GED, strong communication and data-entry skills, and experience handling confidential information in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Computer experience, competency in data entry-business applications.
• Direct experience working with the public in customer service role in retail or phone.
• Expert communication-listening skills.
• Experience working with confidential information.
• Expert organizational skills - able to concentrate, and prioritize work in an active environment.
• Expert communication skills-ability to handle conflict, critical thinking and empathy-patient and customer service focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduling and assistance to patients to access Variety Care services across clinics.
• Provide excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.
• Manage all incoming telephone calls and be a first contact with a pleasant and professional demeanor.
• Strive to consistently meet and/or exceed individual Patient Access performance measures.
• Proficient in EPIC scheduling and Patient Access workflows to ensure documentation in patient communication.
• Utilize screening tools to assess patient acuity for appropriate service.
• Attend meetings and trainings for continuous quality improvement.
• Obtain accurate information from patients at time of call.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and privacy policies.
• Embodies integrity and accountability in the department.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
