Job summary

The Chautauqua Center, Inc. in Jamestown, NY seeks a Patient Registration Specialist / Certified Application Counselor to register patients, verify insurance, and assist with marketplace applications as part of a supportive office team spanning medical, behavioral health, dental, billing, and records.

You will greet patients, collect information, and ensure privacy and accuracy in all records. Responsibilities include data entry, financial intakes for self-pay, verifying Medicaid/Medicare

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy.
• Ability to learn office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect insurance information.
• Assist with NYS Marketplace applications if CAC certified.
• Answer phones and transfer calls per protocol.
• Maintain patient records and data entry.
• Provide clerical support for providers.
• Explain and assist with new patient paperwork.
