Job summary

Winding Waters Clinic in Enterprise, OR is seeking a Care Access Specialist who greets patients, updates registrations, and captures accurate insurance data in EPIC. Your role supports a smooth check-in and ensures access to high-quality care for families in Wallowa County.

You will also coordinate appointments, manage urgent care walk-ins, assist with insurance eligibility and sliding scale updates, and handle MyChart messages to prep for morning huddles.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a welcoming demeanor.
• Able to multitask across phones, in-person, and scheduling tasks.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times.
• Proficient with Electronic Health Records (EPIC a plus).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, update registration, capture insurance details in EPIC.
• Manage appointments and urgent care walk-ins to keep the clinic running smoothly.
• Assist with insurance eligibility verification and sliding scale (FPL) updates.
• Handle MyChart messages and In-Basket communications for providers’ morning huddles.
• Print daily hospital/ER reports to arrange essential follow-up care.
