Job summary

Children’s Nebraska is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to manage registrations, check-ins, check-outs, and scheduling across the ED, inpatient units, radiology, and other areas. The role supports a seamless patient experience and high satisfaction by guiding patients through registrations and access to digital platforms.

The position involves on-site work with variable shifts, including evenings and weekends, and on-call requirements in 24/7 areas.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred
• Experience in patient registration or healthcare administration preferred
• Hospitals/clinical setting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform full patient registrations in the hospital's EHR system.
• Handle patient check-ins and check-outs with clear instructions.
• Coordinate point-of-care scheduling with clinical teams.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer scheduling questions.
• Collaborate with ED, Radiology and other departments to optimize flow.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate patient records.
