Job summary

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Clinical Access is seeking a full-time Manager, Patient Access to lead the Patient Access Department. You will oversee operations to ensure smooth entry of patients, accurate information, and timely payment collection.

You will recruit and develop staff, manage day-to-day activities, and ensure compliance with policies while coordinating with upper management on budgets and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of business and management principles and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, supervises, trains, and disciplines staff and prepares performance reports.
• Manages day-to-day activities to ensure timely patient registration, data accuracy, and payment collection.
• Verifies insurance information and prepares patient charts prior to clinic date.
• Ensures staffing coverage on a 24-hour basis.
• Participates in annual budget development and monitoring.
