Job summary

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) in Gravette, AR, seeks a Patient Access Manager to lead the Hospital's Central Referral team and support the Admissions function. You will oversee staffing, workflow, and compliance to ensure accurate demographics, referrals, authorizations, and billing while delivering exceptional patient access experiences.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in healthcare patient access with leadership experience, a strong commitment to service, and a preferred associate

  • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in healthcare Patient Access or related area.
  • Associate degree preferred in healthcare administration or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient patient access processes with accurate demographics, insurance, referrals, authorizations and billing.
  • Manage staffing, workflow, quality assurance, performance management, and training.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve patient flow and patient experience.

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH), located in Gravette, Arkansas, has an opening for a Patient Access Managerwithin our Patient Access Department.

The Patient Access Manager provides daily leadership and operational oversight of the Hospital's Central Referral team and provides leadership support and coordination to the Admissions team through a dotted-line reporting relationship. The Manager is responsible for ensuring an efficient, timely, and seamless patient access process while maintaining accuracy and compliance with patient demographics, financial, insurance, referral, authorization, and billing requirements. The Manager oversees the daily operations of the Central Referral team, including staffing, workflow, quality assurance, performance management, training, and process improvement. The position ensures timely and professional responses to incoming referral calls, provider inquiries, and patient access needs while promoting a high level of service and patient satisfaction. The Manager collaborates with the Director of Patient Access and other organizational leaders to identify opportunities to improve departmental efficiency, patient flow, service delivery, and overall patient experience. The position provides staffing and operational support as needed and assists with the development and implementation of departmental and implementation of departmental strategies, policies, procedures, and training initiatives. The Patient Access Manager reports directly to the Director of Patient Access The most significant duties have been included in this description; however, this does not preclude the assignment of additional or developmental duties. Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Data entry and word processing experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of Healthcare Patient Access Experience required, with progressively responsible experience in patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, authorizations, financial clearance, care coordination, or other related front-end revenue cycle functions.
  • Minimum 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience required, which may include lead, supervisory, training, project coordination, or other operational support in a healthcare or Patient Access environment.
  • Experience in multi-site healthcare organization or group preferred.
  • Associate degree in healthcare administration, business administration, health information management, or related field preferred.
