The Patient Access Manager provides daily leadership and operational oversight of the Hospital's Central Referral team and provides leadership support and coordination to the Admissions team through a dotted-line reporting relationship. The Manager is responsible for ensuring an efficient, timely, and seamless patient access process while maintaining accuracy and compliance with patient demographics, financial, insurance, referral, authorization, and billing requirements. The Manager oversees the daily operations of the Central Referral team, including staffing, workflow, quality assurance, performance management, training, and process improvement. The position ensures timely and professional responses to incoming referral calls, provider inquiries, and patient access needs while promoting a high level of service and patient satisfaction. The Manager collaborates with the Director of Patient Access and other organizational leaders to identify opportunities to improve departmental efficiency, patient flow, service delivery, and overall patient experience. The position provides staffing and operational support as needed and assists with the development and implementation of departmental and implementation of departmental strategies, policies, procedures, and training initiatives. The Patient Access Manager reports directly to the Director of Patient Access The most significant duties have been included in this description; however, this does not preclude the assignment of additional or developmental duties.
