Qualifications

• 2–4 year college degree in Business, Accounting, Medical Administration or related area preferred.
• 2–4 years experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area.
• 3–5 years experience in Patient Access preferred.
• 1–2 years in supervisory or lead role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, complete patient registration at date of service, explain and secure hospital and patient forms, scan PHI, and coordinate with clinical departments on schedule changes.
• Provide full patient financial counseling, education and referrals, and manage patient liability collection escalations per policy.
• Verify insurance, benefits, coverage, and eligibility; obtain authorizations and inpatient visit notifications for payors.
• Analyze ADT and Revenue Cycle reports, lead shift Patient Access Operations, and collaborate with department leaders on process improvements.
