• Audit documents generated by the Hospital Information System or the Document Imaging System and follow up as needed.
• Work with case management to resolve insurance coverage issues.
• Train and orient new employees, and conduct training for existing staff on new procedures.
• Maintain understanding of HIS and DIS modules to pre-register/register patients and update patient status in the database.
• Manage downtime procedures and re-initiation of HIS and DIS.
• Interpret insurance information and insurance cards.
• Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of software systems.
• Complete a patient financial screening to facilitate patient needs and reimbursement.
• Participate in staff evaluations.
