Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a patient access professional to interview patients, collect demographics and payment information, and input records into the system. You will verify insurance, collect co-pays, and balance daily sheets in a high-volume environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of data entry and customer service experience with patients or customers. Weekend coverage is on an every-other-basis, with standard 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM shifts.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of data entry experience.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience with patients or customers.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or representatives to obtain personal, financial, and demographic information.
• Prepare patient records and input data into computer.
• Verify insurance coverage and collect co-payments.
• Balance daily payment sheets and route demographics.
• Ensure adherence to department standards and accuracy in processes.
• Perform cashiering duties after hours and on weekends.
