Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access/Registration professional to provide a positive patient experience by accurately gathering demographics, insurance information, and referrals for outpatient visits.

The role requires strong communication and customer service skills and familiarity with EHR systems. The position handles insurance verification, MSPQ questionnaires, and collecting out-of-pocket liabilities at the point of service, with rotating shifts in a hospital

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate's degree in healthcare or business administration preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in hospital, physician practice, or related healthcare environment customer service; registration experience in Emergency Dept preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and gather demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance and determine eligibility; collect out-of-pocket liabilities.
• Enter orders and confirm medical necessity for outpatient visits; obtain referrals and authorizations as needed.
• Verify Medicare MSPQ questionnaire for all Medicare patients and use Real Time Eligibility tools.
