Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a part-time Patient Access & Financial Services Associate to support Medicare compliance reviews, prepare accurate cost estimates for patients, and coordinate pre-authorizations. You will register patients, verify insurance, and maintain clear communications across departments to enhance the patient experience.

The role requires high school completion, strong customer service, HIPAA awareness, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue ABN when needed.
• Provide accurate estimates of patient financial responsibility and collect payments.
• Coordinate with utilization management for pre-authorizations and provide necessary patient information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations within required timeframes.
• Register patients for services and ensure accurate demographic and insurance details.
• Maintain timely communication between clinical, ancillary, and access departments to improve patient experience.
• Provide excellent customer service and document payer conversations and payment arrangements.
• Assist with PBX duties and cashiering tasks as needed.
