Familiarity with HIPAA privacy and compliance practices.

Responsibilities

Greets patients, reviews process, and schedules exams or follow-ups.
Assembles data and documents for complete patient registration, including pre-admission and registrations.
Enters patient demographic information into the hospital's EHR system.
Assesses patient financial responsibility and collects co-pays and deductibles at admission.
Explains hospital payment options and funding possibilities to patients and families.
Interviews patients to determine eligibility for state or government funding programs.
