Job summary

Adventist Health Bakersfield is seeking a Per Diem Patient Access Specialist to ensure timely and accurate patient registration. You will interview patients for account information, verify insurance, collect patient liability, obtain signatures for treatment, and attach orders to records.

You will collaborate with care teams, follow established policies, and support the patient access department in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Check for physician orders and attach them to patient record to ensure appropriate tests.
• Verify insurance and enter authorization information as needed.
• Follow guidelines and instructions from senior staff.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
