Signature Health, Inc. is seeking a Patient Intake Specialist to support a seamless patient access and financial clearance process. You will register patients, verify benefits, and guide them through scheduling while coordinating with Patient Services and Financial Services.

HIPAA compliance and strong communication are essential. The role emphasizes attention to detail, customer service excellence, and teamwork to ensure accurate data, clear financial responsibilities, and smooth encounter flow

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of office, customer service, or related experience required.
• 1-2 years of experience with payer sources (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial) preferred.
• Experience in a primary care or behavioral health setting required; EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly, courteous, and welcoming first impression for patients and families during phone, in-person, and electronic interactions.
• Accurately complete patient registration with demographic, insurance, medical, financial data in the EHR.
• Conduct in-depth insurance verification and benefit eligibility reviews and identify appropriate plans and payers.
• Assess patients for financial clearance and financial assistance needs before services.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and help resolve financial barriers.
