Signature Health, a community-focused provider, seeks a Patient Intake Specialist to support patient access and financial clearance. You will register patients, verify insurance, and explain financial responsibilities while coordinating with care teams to schedule services.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, and experience with payer sources and EHR systems; EPIC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of office, customer service, or related experience required.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with payer sources (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial) required.
• EPIC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly, courteous first impression for patients and families in person, on the phone, and electronically.
• Accurately complete patient registration with demographic, insurance, medical, and financial information in the EHR.
• Conduct insurance verification and benefit eligibility reviews and identify correct plans and payers.
