Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Financial Clearance Associate for Outpatient-Rehab & Imaging, Patient Access. The role involves obtaining and validating demographic/insurance data, handling authorizations, referrals, and scheduling in a fast-paced setting.

You will contribute to revenue cycle operations and meet quality metrics. The position emphasizes compassionate customer service, team collaboration, and adherence to regulatory guidelines, with opportunities like tuition reimbursement and health

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year PDtient Access experience or related role.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and customer service focus.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA and Medicare structures preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and insurance information, including authorizations/referrals/notifications.
• Schedule patient appointments/procedures in a call center environment.
• Meet individual quality metrics and manage high-volume patient flow.
• Support onboarding and training for team members and participate in committees.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements, pricing, financial assistance, and revenue cycle.
• Provide professional, compassionate service to patients, families, and staff.
