Job summary

Archbold Memorial Hospital seeks a Financial Care Counselor- Financial Clearance to schedule outpatient and inpatient appointments and collect essential patient information. You will manage registrations, coordinate with care teams, and ensure accurate financial clearance to support timely care.

Ideal candidates bring two years in patient registration or accounting, familiarity with healthcare IT systems, and a focus on accuracy, service quality, and teamwork within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• ACPAR certification preferred
• Minimum two years experience in patient registration/patient accounting
• Experience with healthcare information systems for customer service, patient registration, estimations and point-of-service collections preferred

Responsibilities

• Uses scheduling system to book outpatient and/or inpatient appointments and gather patient information
• Demonstrates planning and time management
• Executes clerical tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supports teamwork and organizational goals to ensure quality patient care
