Job summary

Palmetto Infusion is looking for a Patient Access Liaison in Columbia, SC to help eligible patients obtain essential medications with minimal financial burden. You will enroll patients in manufacturer assistance programs, explain options to patients and staff, and ensure forms are complete and accurate.

Responsibilities include gathering hardship documentation, reviewing orders for compliance, and maintaining patient records in EMR. The role is on-site, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2 years of case management or medical billing/account resolution, OR 1 year in infusion services office or pharmacy.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to work in a changing environment under pressure and in a team.
• Develop productive relationships with Palmetto Infusion team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates enrollment in manufacturer patient assistance programs.
• Explains available assistance options to patients and staff.
• Ensures patient questionnaires and forms are complete and accurate.
• Assists with gathering financial hardship documentation.
• Reviews patient orders for medication ordering requirements.
• Manages ordering of initial, maintenance, and bridge doses.
• Submits renewal orders as received.
• Keeps documents current in the patient’s medical record.
• Reviews enrolled patients 60–90 days before program expiration.
• Uses EMR to document and communicate patient information.
• Knows insurance terms including copay, coinsurance, deductibles.
