Job summary

West Coast Joint and Spine Center is seeking a Patient Access Representative to handle complete patient registration, verify insurance, and collect payments at the point of service. The role requires strong customer service, accurate data entry, and HIPAA compliance within a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities include pre-registering patients, coordinating with physician offices, and ensuring a smooth front-desk experience for patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required; 2 years college preferred.
• Able to type 40 WPM; complete forms and enter data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately for services; collect co-pays/deductibles at time of service.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; obtain pre-authorizations as needed.
• Pre-register patients; ensure timely and complete patient registration.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Balance cash, log receipts, and meet monthly collection goals.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and scheduling to prepare for patient arrival.
