Provide the highest level of customer service to patients, staff, and referral sources by coordinating and managing front office activities. Accurately gather patient and insurance information, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Maintain excellent relationships with patients and referral sources.

Your Impact
  • Ensure top-tier customer service to patients, colleagues, and referral sources.
  • Maintain accurate patient files in compliance with Hanger Policies.
  • Protect patient privacy and security per HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with patient follow-up and quality assurance to ensure satisfaction.
  • Enter patient demographics and verify insurance details.
  • Manage multiple phone lines efficiently.
  • Record clear, concise, and accurate documentation.
  • File patient charts and documentation following guidelines.
  • Coordinate scheduling to ensure proper coverage of appointments and calls.
  • Perform additional duties or projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferably, a good fit for the role as determined by the Talent Sorter assessment.
  • Less than one year of customer service or administrative experience required.
  • Experience as a receptionist or in medical front office procedures preferred.
  • Must have or be eligible for a valid driver's license and meet driving record standards.
Additional Success Factors
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Typing speed of 30 words per minute with accuracy.
  • Ability to work with handicapped individuals.
  • Understanding of Alpha filing system, medical terminology, and reimbursement processes preferred.
  • Proficient in Windows-based software, email, and office equipment.
  • Act with integrity, prioritize patient trust, foster collaboration, and innovate solutions.
  • Pay range in New York State: $20.00 - $24.00/hour plus bonuses and benefits.
