The Valley Hospital in Mahwah, NJ seeks an Access Navigator to serve as the frontline contact in a busy call center. You will help patients, caregivers and providers access services, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals to ensure smooth continuity of care.

Expect professional communication and empathetic service in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have an associates degree or equivalent healthcare experience, with strong verbal and written skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; in lieu of a degree, 1 year as BA in VMG specialty office or 3 years in Valley scheduling.
• Healthcare experience including medical terminology and managed care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact in a high-volume call center, delivering patient-centered service.
• Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating referrals to services.
• Facilitate access to VMG and The Valley Hospital services for patients and families.
• Act as liaison between referring providers, patients, and specialists to support continuity of care.
• Ensure a seamless patient experience with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
